Drama am fywyd dyn unigryw. Hanes y werin a’r bonedd. Gwyddoniaeth tywydd, cerddoriaeth a chaneuon y 18ed ganrif.

Bydd y cynhyrchiad bywiog hwn o ddiddordeb i holl fynychwyr theatr sy’n hoffi stori dda. Mae bywyd William Bulkeley yn darllen fel opera sebon : hanesion ei fab anystywallt yn Llundain, stori ei ferch a’r morleidr Fortunatus Wright, bywyd sgweiar ac Ustus Heddwch ynghanol scandals llysoedd barn Biwmares, hanes teithiau i Iwerddon ynghyd â ffeiriau, ymladd ceiliogod a chystadlaethau pêl-droed. Nodwyd nifer o ganeuon yn y dyddiaduron ac fe gynhwysir digonedd o gerddoriaeth yn y perfformiad. Mae’r canran iaith tua 50/50 Cymraeg a Saesneg.

A unique life story. A history of the common people and the gentry. The science of weather, 18th century songs and music.

It is an adaptation of William Bulkeley’s diaries which gives us a vivid picture of life in 18th century rural Wales. The production consists of excerpts from his diaries in William Bulkeley’s own words. The language balance is approximately 50/50 Welsh and English but the context of the linking Welsh dramatic pieces should be easily understood.

We really enjoyed it – completely engrossing, loved the music and the direction and – well, you get the picture. I am enthused! I thought it was a really inventive way of interpreting something which can look so dry on paper.  I guess that’s what good drama is all about.
